Dear Matchbase Family,
sure you already heard the news: With infection rates decreasing, authorities have finally started the grand reopening. We want to let you know how our comeback will probably look like both in Berlin and Hamburg if infection rates stay low:
As you know we cooperate with local football clubs to offer our service. That’s why we can’t restart before our partners can – Even If technically authorities might have already allowed to do so. Also it is possible that there are local differences between districts so that it’s possible that we’ll start in some district sooner than in others. So please be a little patient with us at the beginning. With this said – Here’s how both Berlin and Hamburg might open up in the weeks to come:
Berlin will reopen in the following order if infection rates remain low:
- May 19th: Outdoor contactless sports with up to 10 people is possible if tested/cured/fully vaccinated.
- June 4th: Outdoor teamsports with contacts is allowed if tested/cured/fully vaccinated.
- June 18th: Outdoor teamsports with contacts is allowed without tests.
That means: Depending on further decreasing infection rates, we’ll carefully restart between June 7th and June 20th in order to then increase capacity from day to day.
Hamburg has not yet given a clear outlook on how reopening might take place. Currently only the following has been communicated:
- May 22th: Outdoor contactless teamsports with up to 10 people is possible.
That means: However additional openings shall take place in intervals of 10-14 days so that we expect a slightly later opening than in Berlin.
We can’t wait to meet you back on the pitch.
Until then: Stay safe and healthy
Your team Matchbase
