YOUR FIRST GAME
Everything you need to know before your first session
Choose your session
After you have picked your plan, you can easily choose your first session over the "All Sessions" overview. Just click on the "Attend" button and you will immediately receive a booking confirmation via email.
You can choose different sessions: Just for fun sessions are open for players of all ages, genders and levels. Everybody is welcome! These sessions are all about a relaxed atmosphere and having fun together. Hard tackles are not allowed and mistakes are perfectly okay.
Ambitious sessions are for those players who are more advanced and want to go the extra mile in their games. Fair tackles are fine, but teamplay & fairness are key and greatly aprreciated.
If you can't make it to a booked session unexpectedly, you can cancel the game up to 5 hours before kick-off via the website. For cancellations at even shorter notice, please contact the game director directly.
When to arrive and what to bring & wear
Our games always start on time! So just be at the venue 15 minutes before kick-off. This way you can check in, change your clothes and get acquainted and warm up with the other players in a relaxed and unstressed way.
What do I have to bring for a session?:
It's super easy! Just bring your sports shorts and shirt, as well as football shoes suitable for the surface. Most of the sessions take place on modern artificial turf pitches. Shoes with cleats or studs are allowed here. In indoor sessions with a PVC surface you need indoor shoes with a bright-coloured sole.
On the pitch
Arriving at the pitch, your director will welcome you. Show him the email you received after you clicked on "attend" and he'll check you in for the session. The Pre-game check-in is the only thing you really have to do before the game starts.
Every session starts with our own signature 10 min warm-up program in order to reduce the risk to hurt yourself!
Your director on the field will take care of balanced teams and exchange players during the game, if necessary. If not otherwise arranged, the Goalkeepers change every 5 minutes. In ambitious sessions fair tackling is allowed. However any hard fouls or unfair (verbal) behavior will not be tolerated and will be penalized.
Respect and fairness towards your teammates and opponents is one of the key values of the Matchbase family.
After the game
After the time is up, you are welcome to tell your director your number of goals scored.
All pitches have showers and locker rooms available and some even have a clubhouse for a beer with your fellow players afterwards. Enjoy the time, get to know each other and choose your next session at Matchbase 😉
